Frequently Asked Questions

Allergens & Food Safety

Q: Are your products gluten free?

A: Yes, all of our nuts are naturally gluten free, and our warehouse has been certified by a third party to be gluten free. We have a lot of customers with gluten intolerance or celiacs and we want to ensure a safe product for their enjoyment.

Q: Are your products vegan?

A: 100% of them!

Q: Are your products made in a facility that processes peanuts/tree nuts?

A: Our warehouse processes tree nuts like almonds, pecans, and cashews, but we are 100% peanut-free.

sourcing

Q: Where do your nuts come from?

A: We work with trusted partners:

  • Pecans from Miller Pecan Company in Oklahoma, USA (single-origin)
  • Almonds from Stewart & Jasper Orchards in California, USA (single-origin)
  • Cashews from Red River Foods (sustainably sourced)
Q: What does “single-origin” mean?

A: It means all the nuts in that product come from one specific region or farm, allowing for better traceability, consistent quality, and a smaller environmental footprint.

Q: Do you work directly with farmers?

A: We do! Please see our 'Meet the Farmers' page for more info.

Q: Are your sourcing practices sustainable or fair-trade?

A: We only work with companies that prioritize sustainably sourcing ingredients. See 'Sustainability' for more info.

Freshness

Q: What’s the shelf life of your products?

A: Even though we don't use any preservatives (other than sea salt), our nuts have a 1 year shelf life from their roasting date.

Q: How should I store Nat’s Nuts once opened?

A: Our stand up pouches are resealable for your convenience! You can preserve freshness for up to the "best by" date once opened.

Company & Values

Q: What makes your nuts different from other brands?

A: Simple ingredients, oven roasted, sustainably sourced, family operated, and insanely good flavors.

Q: What does Nat’s Nuts stand for?

A: Our values can be condensed into a simple acronym: C.A.S.H.E.W.

C - Calling: Our calling is to love God and to love people. Matthew 22: 36-39 says “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

A - Authenticity: We won’t pretend to be perfect. Whenever we make a mistake, we will be eager to acknowledge it and fix it!

S - Service: The initial purpose of this business was to fundraise for a service based mission trip, today our purpose is to serve our customers delicious and safe snacks.

H - Hard Work: The harder you work, the better you sleep.

E - Efficiency: We have a limited number of hours on this Earth, so we strive to make each one count.

W - Wholesome Fun: Being in the nut business, we could make a lot of jokes that are low hanging fruit, but we’re aiming for “fun for the whole family.”
